    Hello Lima SHRM,

    Our next chapter meeting is Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 11:30am – 1:00 pm at Ohio Means Job.

    Beth Keehn with Mercy Health – Lima will be presenting on the recent Immigration trends in West Central Ohio.

    Attendees will learn about recent immigration trends in West Central Ohio; Understand the root causes of new immigration pattens; Learn about the Humanitarian Parole system and various immigration statuses of new residents; Learn about work and benefits eligibility for newcomers; and hear about the Allen County Community response.

    Beth Keehn serves at the Director of Government and Community Affairs for Mercy Health – Lima. She celebrated her 10th year with the Ministry this past August and worked previously as the Director of Marketing and Communications and Director of Strategic Planning for the organization. Prior to joining Mercy Health, Beth worked as the Community Affairs Specialist for Husky Energy and served in various roles at Ohio State, both in Columbus and in Lima. 

    Beth received her bachelor’s degrees from The Ohio State University in Economics and Journalism, and her master’s in business administration from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business with specialties in Marketing and Human Resources.

    Beth is a graduate of Columbus Grove High school, and now lives in her hometown with her husband. Her three children are getting older…with one daughter at Ohio State, and a senior daughter and sophomore son at Columbus Grove High School.

    Beth serves as the Chair of Activate Allen County, the Chair of the Lima Community Foundation, Past President of the Veteran’s Civic and Convention Center, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee.
