    HR Legal Update 2021 with Mindi Wells, Esq., Employer Lawyer, Trainer and Workplace Investigator, Wells Law, LLC

    Mindi is an employment attorney, business owner and HR professional with over two decades of insightful, hands-on experience in business, finance and human resources.  She helps organizations avoid lawsuits by providing business savvy legal advice and counsel, easy to understand employee policies, and entertaining staff and management training.  Mindi presents workshops for employers throughout the state and is known for her enthusiasm, practical advice, and customized training content delivered with an interactive and humorous approach.

    A native of rural Allen County, Mindi is a first-generation college graduate and comes from a family of small business owners.  She earned both her juris doctorate degree and her bachelor’s degree in economics from Ohio Northern University, and completed her coursework for her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at Bowling Green State University with a focus on ethics in leadership.  She is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Florida. She is also a certified civil rights investigator by the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) and holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute. In addition, she is trained in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.  Prior to opening her own firm, Mindi served as Deputy Administrative Director/Chief Operating Officer of the Supreme Court of Ohio, as Assistant Dean for Administration & Student Services at the Ohio Northern University College of Law and as Ohio Northern's first Director of Personnel Services.  Learn more about Mindi here
